I Know You Got Soul

"It's been a long time. I shouldn't of left you..."  Yes it has been a while since I blogged.  So many happenings from moving, to work, to just recovering from expending energy, and once you stop, starting back becomes harder.  However, that's the lesson that we must face each day, even though we pause, there's always a chance to begin again.  What's a more fitting time than this New Moon in Aries?

The new moon falling in the sign that starts the zodiac calls upon us to let go of what was and focus upon what will be.  Aries is the god of war.  Not just that fighting spirit, but the aspects of war that are feral and sometimes ferocious.  He wanted success; not stopping at any cost to ensure victory.

That's what this time calls for.  What is that thing, that raw untamed desire that burns within you?  What is that idea that's calling out to take shape and materialize from your soul?  Aries says it's time to aim towards the target and push through to make manifest.  There's no time to worry about what someone may think.  There's no room to fear mistakes.  There's no energy available for doubt.  Aires has a mission and runs past and through any obstacle that attempts to stand in his way.  He's fire, he's passion, and most of all he's driven.  Aires had several children.  Not just with the goddesses, but also mortal woman.  He planted his seed in fertile grounds to ensure new life would form based upon his genetic code, and would spread in the heavens and earth.  Longevity was his mission and it proved to be accomplished.

For this new moon, we are being asked to cast out any lingering fears that are holding us back.  There's no room for second guessing, because our spirit is ready to release the seeds of our deepest wants into our fertile minds.  When heart and mind become one, our ideas can then spark and begin the initial stages of life.  This all happens under the darkness of the New Moon.  It serves as a womb to nourish, protect and surround in the right amount of heat to create growth.  Once ready, the fullness of another moon will call it out into the world.

So what is calling you?  What has been tugging at you for years?  Take some time to sit and meditate before writing it out on your petition paper.  Is it a move to a new city?  Purchasing a new home?  Creating a new business venture?  What ever that "it" is, once the intention is set, the seed planted and life beginning, this thing will serve you not for the now, but for decades to come.  So make sure your thoughts are clear.  Make sure you write it out without any fear of what if.  The only thing that matters is that your heart is pure and mind is intune.

For this new moon, I'm going to keep it small and focused.  I'll start with cleaning and cleansing my space with Florida Water and sage.  From there I'll take my spiritual bath.  My bath will include (after the shower of course):

• dried rose petals within the bath
• red rose petals on the floor surrounding the tub
• purification salt mixture within the bath from Houss Freya
• two red and two white tea lights around the tub
• meditation music playing so I can finalize my thoughts on my intentions

After the bath, I will then sit and write out my intentions in my beautiful new journal in red sharpie.  Why red? It's to symbolize the passion and fire behind the words and thoughts.  Again, this is an Aries New Moon, so it is a call to action.

From there I'll go into my sacred space, burn some incense and light my candles:

• three white
• one red

Under the red candle, I'll place my written intentions and then meditate upon the goodness of the Divine, the manifestation of my desires and surrendering the outcome to the will of the Divine.  We cannot imagine the magnitude of our blessings, so placing control and limits should not be part of prayer.  Be open to the blessings.

Why four candles?  Four is the number of foundation.  With this new moon, we are setting the foundation for our lives.  We are planting the seeds for something(s) that will serve us through the generations.  Right now has no place; this is a longevity type of energy. 

Say Four Times:
"I am open to the blessings of the Divine (God, Allah, Lord).  I am proving myself worthy to be a vessel for the divine light.  Everything received will be of service to the Universe, and one with my Higher Self.  I am eternally grateful for all."  End it with whatever word or words close out your prayer.  For me it's "Ameen (Amen)" meaning, "and so it is".

Remember to protect yourself and your space as you are moving through this new moon energy.  I personally imagine myself surrounded in divine white light.  Additionally I have a protection candle burning during all times of prayer.  As long as your intentions are on the higher and divine Source, the angels, ancestors and guides will serve as your protectors.
